In 2024, the company Alzarro Dönerworld GmbH opened a new production facility where it uses KRONEN machines to produce its “take-and-bake doner kebab”. The automated processing of fresh ingredients enables the efficient and hygienic production of the innovative new “Dönerback”, a sealed pocket of dough filled with chicken, sauce, and vegetables. The product, which is available from the refrigerated counters of various retailers, simply needs to be baked in the oven and is then ready to eat.
The company uses several KRONEN machines for the industrial processing of vegetables and salad leaves at its production facility in Korbußen, Germany. These machines include the PGW XL grid cutter, theGS 10-2 belt cutting machine, the GEWA 3800 V ECO washing machine, the KS-7 PLUS lettuce and vegetable spin-dryer , the K230 delicatessen mixing machine, and the KUJ-V cutting machine. Some of the machines are combined to form a processing line, which handles the cutting, washing and spin-drying of lettuce leaves, cabbage, onion, and tomato. This enables the company to optimally prepare the fresh ingredients for further processing.
KRONEN planned the systems and put them into operation in cooperation with the team at Alzarro Dönerworld GmbH. This close cooperation enabled KRONEN to precisely tailor the solution to meet the company’s production demands. The main focus was placed on reliability, a high degree of automation, and consistently high processing quality with a large throughput.
The new system allows Alzarro Dönerworld to produce up to 250,000 doner kebabs per day. The “take-and-bake doner kebab” is available at leading supermarket chains in Germany and Austria. Further European markets are currently in the pipeline.
