With a new production hall, Pentz GmbH & Co. KG is expanding its capacity for ready-to-use products. A new KRONEN processing line washes, dries and packs up to seven tonnes of leafy lettuce per day in individual portions. The integrated solution supports hygienic and flexible lettuce processing and was planned together with Pentz to meet the requirements of the new production facility.

On August 1, 2026, Wissam Badr, Head of Finance at KRONEN GmbH, was appointed authorized signatory and officially became a member of the Management Board. With this development, the family-run company has expanded its management structure to support and promote further corporate development.

KRONEN’s GS 10-2 belt cutting machine is also ideal for processing air-dried meat strips for use in pet food. It reliably cuts long strips of meat into even chunks. 

COMEPAR S.A. uses KRONEN machines to process salads and vegetables every day for around 200,000 fresh meals supplied to 400 educational institutions. At its new state-of-the-art production facility in Paraguay, the company processes several tonnes of fresh produce daily.

The KRONEN DEW 200 dewatering press recently demonstrated its impressive performance when processing blanched spinach for the production of airline meals. The aim: to reliably remove excess water and establish the basis for efficient further processing.

AphidWash has been specifically developed to improve washing performance for lettuce, salad mixes, and leafy vegetables. When using AphidWash, an aphid reduction of 85% to 90% can be achieved. This innovative processing aid facilitates the mechanical removal of aphids, even from leaf surfaces that are difficult to wet, ensuring simple and reliable cleaning for optimal product quality.

 

In the Urschel Asia Pacific Showroom in Thailand, service technicians from the Urschel branches in Indonesia, India, Singapore, China, Vietnam, Thailand, and the Philippines recently gathered for practical training focusing on KRONEN machines. At the event, the KRONEN team shared its know-how regarding the use, maintenance and servicing of the machines.

Rudolf Hans Zillgith is retiring from the operational business of KRONEN GmbH, which marks the conclusion of the generational change in the company’s Management Board that has been ongoing since 2018. The well-established, long-standing Management Board will now continue to lead the company on its successful course.
