March: KRONEN likes WS Edelstahltechnik

Growing together: the history of a successful partnership

Who: Sophie Benné successfully completed her vocational training as an industrial clerk at KRONEN GmbH. When KRONEN joined forces with WS Edelstahltechnik  in 2020 and integrated the manufacturer into the company as a new corporate division, Sophie Benné joined the division and has been working in its Sales and Purchasing department ever since.

Like: “I am proud that our team at WS Edelstahltechnik now plays such an important role in the success of KRONEN. As a supplier of turned and milled components and, as of last year, also a manufacturer of high-quality knives and blades for KRONEN’s cutting machines, our division is now indispensable.”

WS Edelstahltechnik in the German town of Achern produces turned and milled parts for the food technology and automotive industries. The Achern-based facility has additionally been manufacturing knives and blades for KRONEN machines since 2022. As a result, KRONEN now manufactures high-quality cutting tools itself and has therefore gained independence from the supply market situation. 50 percent of the turned and milled components installed at the facility in Kehl are now sourced from the site in Achern, where more than 3,000 cutting tools were produced last year. As a result, the facility in Achern makes an important contribution to KRONEN’S corporate success.

“My training at KRONEN was an enjoyable and above all productive learning experience. I am delighted to have found my place at the company, where I can continue to be part of a great team. A special project for me was completed back in 2021, when we obtained certification of the quality management system of WS Edelstahltechnik in accordance with the internationally recognized ISO 9001:2015 standard. It was an important step for us and represented another successfully mastered challenge.”
